Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Disconnect Power
Before doing anything, ensure the range is unplugged or the breaker is turned off.
Never work on an energized appliance.
2. Remove Rear Panels
Remove the screws from the back panel of the range.
Remove the lower rear panel.
Remove the upper rear panel to expose internal components.
3. Remove the Black Bracket
Locate and remove the screws holding the black metal bracket
4. Remove the Bake Element Tray
Remove the two screws securing the element tray.
Carefully pull the tray out so the wiring is accessible.
5. Disconnect the Bake Element
There are three wires attached to the element.
Unclip the element from the tray.
Disconnect the wires from the old element (pull connectors, not wires).
6. Install the New Bake Element
Clip the new element into place in the tray.
Attach all three wires securely to the new element terminals.
Slide the tray fully back into position.
7. Reassemble the Range
Reinstall everything in reverse order:
Secure the element tray with its screws
Reinstall the black bracket
Replace the lower rear panel & main back panels
8. Restore Power & Test
Plug the range back in or restore the breaker.
Run the oven at a moderate temperature to confirm the new bake element heats correctly.
Important Notes
Always disconnect power first.
Pull on connectors, not wires, when disconnecting.
Tighten all screws securely during reassembly.
Loose electrical connections can cause malfunctions.
